The Theme
In its thirteenth year, the ELC will focus on the theme Dignity Unbound: Emerging Leaders for a Free and Just Society. As young individuals, we are the driving force for a better tomorrow, and our collective efforts can shape a world that values human dignity and promotes a just and equitable future. By empowering each other through education, mutual support, and collaboration, we can unlock the full potential of human capital and create a society where everyone can thrive. As we work toward building a society that is genuinely free and just for all, we must prioritize understanding, empathy, and respect for human dignity as the foundation of human rights. How can we harness our collective strength to promote universal values, freedom, and human rights? How can we build a society that is truly free and just for all?
The Goal
The Emerging Leaders Conference is an annual event of WYAAP for young individuals to learn about the salient issues of today and how they can apply their roles as leaders through a variety of talks, forums and interactive activities. Participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas and build networks with other youth leaders from the Asia Pacific region. It also serves as a venue for young people to engage in cultural exchange. This will strengthen a region-wide cooperation among Asia Pacific youth to implement projects among participating individuals and organizations as well as explore possibilities for project collaboration, laying the groundwork for long-term partnerships.
