Advocacy Training and Fellowship

World Youth Alliance is hosting an in-depth advocacy training and fellowship in New York City from October 20-31, 2025. This program is open to members who have completed the Certified Training Program (CTP) and Advocacy Academy (AA). Members will be trained on current policy priorities affecting human dignity, and participate in the preparation of WYA UN Commissions advocacy engagement and other global advocacy work. The training includes modules on international law, advocacy strategy, policy writing, negotiation, and diplomacy. A final two-day seminar (October 30–31) will close the training and will also be open to North American CTP/AA-trained members to join in person at WYA Headquarters.

This closing seminar will explore the philosophical and political roots of today’s cultural challenges, including gender ideology, cancel culture, and identity politics. This seminar will trace these challenges back to 19th-century Marxism, 20th-century postmodernism, and today’s political climate. The discussion will be led by Habib Malik, associate professor of history and cultural studies at the Lebanese American University.

To apply, submit your application form, CV, and cover letter by September 5, 2025. WYA will cover travel and accommodations for accepted participants. Select fellows may be invited to return to NYC in March 2026 to represent WYA at the UN Commissions!
