The World Youth Alliance Regional Internship Program provides opportunities for young people who are inspired by the ideas and work of the World Youth Alliance (WYA) to gain professional skills working on WYA’s projects and a substantive learning experience on our core ideas. Projects are designed to enhance each student’s specific academic background and interests. Interns receive mentorship and training from WYA staff members.

Program Management
Lead and support person-centered projects in WYA’s three core areas – Advocacy, Education, and Culture.

Training
Work closely with WYA staff and receive personalized mentorship in leadership, communications, advocacy, and project development.

Community Impact
Gain in-depth knowledge of WYA’s ideas and programs, and apply this learning to create change in your local community.

Ideal candidates possess a strong desire to protect and promote human dignity while making a positive impact on society. Candidates must be proactive, self-driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented individuals with a willingness to learn.

Interns leave the program equipped with practical skills in project management, communications, advocacy, and organizational leadership, making them well-prepared for careers in advocacy, public service, education, and beyond.
Many alumni go on to take on key roles within WYA as staff, trainers, or national committee leaders. Others represent WYA in international conferences, lead local chapters, or initiate projects that advance human dignity in their communities.
The internship is designed to guide your growth through the following focus areas:
- Gain relevant skills and professional training in developing projects rooted in our advocacy;
- Gain knowledge from like-minded and passionate individuals, and apply this learning to create change in your local community.
- Practice how to effectively communicate and articulate these ideas to different communities through various mediums (e.g. blog posts, social media campaigns);
Learn more about human dignity and how this relates to global topics and current issues such as human rights, economic and social development, health, and many others.
