Course Description:
A. Best Practices for Social Media Content Creation
Hack your content creation process with best practices and principles shared in this dynamic course. From understanding your target demographic to leveraging social media trends, this course provides practical insights to elevate your online presence. Ideal for young leaders who want to be inspired and kickstart their social media projects and campaigns.
B. Best Practices for Social Media Engagement
Dive into effective strategies for building connections, fostering conversations, and increasing interactions. Perfect for young leaders who want to have an introduction to social media engagement with actionable insights to jumpstart their social media game in no time.
C. Best Practices in Global Event Management
Participants will learn the general principles and best practices in the five stages of global event management from research, design, planning, execution and evaluation. They will also learn basic event risk management and the different measures on how to measure a successful event.
D. Best Practices in Fundraising
Participants will learn the art of the ask. This course will feature best practices on one-on-one fundraising and techniques in corporate fundraising. Participants will also learn how to prepare for a fundraising pitch with a potential donor and ways on how to engage donors in the organization.
Course Instructors
Lord Leomer Pomperada
WYA Executive Director
Lord is a multi-awarded global youth leader with over 10 years of nonprofit experience. He previously served as WYA’s Global President for 7 years and Asia Pacific Director for about 2 years.
He was recognized by the the Philippines with the Presidential Award as an Outstanding Filipino Overseas and by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Youth Leaders Association with the GAWAD ASEANO Award for his noteworthy contributions in youth leadership in Southeast Asia.
Lord holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School and a Diploma in Professional Event Management from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (Manila). He recently completed his Master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (Geneva) and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Barcelona).
Demy Cruz Jr.
WYA Director of Marketing
Demy is an award-winning independent filmmaker and multimedia designer. He has worked with various brands, government agencies, and NGOs in Asia Pacific and abroad. Demy holds a BA in Multimedia Arts from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (Manila). He had an extensive servant-leadership stint in his country that earned him a spot as one of the Youth Ambassadors of the Philippines to several countries in Asia.
