So far so great! Even though we are in the end of the year in 2009 the tasks in the WYA Europe increase and are the key of the end of each year (as annual report, Christmas cards, dignity project and meetings) with the aim to make the final and big effort to keep going with the future work in the following year =)

I insist that even is the end of the year, this doesn’t mean that you can’t be able to do a lot of things. If you have the initiative to cooperate and involved with the organization and with a lot of endeavor and courage, you can learn a lot in a few months at the end of each year. Brussels is the capital of the very interesting reunions. There are still a lot of conferences, meetings, seminars or other meetings where I could attend and inform myself and the organization as well.

I was exited of my first report for the WYA Europe for a meeting regarding the ‘Transplantation and Quality and safety of Organ Donation and Transplantation’. Quite nervous on the final outcomes of the report but glad at the end that I gain knowledge on this issue, what it means A LOT!

Another aspect that I have never thought that I was going to be able to inform and learn more about, was regarding the Islam. I could attend to the meeting in ‘Political Islam as a factor of EU external relations – How to engage with ‘mainstream’ Islamists and what role international actors could and should play’ and I could analyse the role that plays the foreign policy of the EU, hence to reach more tolerance and understanding in this religion.

Incredible to be honest, there is a bunch of things in this world to learn and WYA Europe in Brussels is the great spot to flourish your thoughts. Enjoy the internship is the best way to become skilled about human rights, human dignity, peace and solidarity in the world. If you do it you will definitively learn 🙂
