Meet the WYA Mexico Committee Leaders

The Latin America Region of World Youth Alliance (WYALA) is pleased to announce the new coordinators of the WYA Mexico National Committee, led by Ana Bolio and Marco Gutiérrez, both extremely active WYA members. They are expected to continue promoting Human Dignity as well as expand WYA in their country.

 

Meet Ana!

Ana Bolio is an undergraduate student of Pedagogy at the Universidad Panamericana. In addition to her contribution to WYA, she has been working for 4 years as a volunteer in “Pasos por la Vida,” a citizen movement that organizes the March for Life in Mexico and carries out social and political activities that promote the defense of human life and support for pregnant women. Furthermore, she has also worked in “Alianza Entrale,” an association dedicated to including persons with disabilities in the labor market. Her hobbies are painting and watching movies with friends.

Within World Youth Alliance, she has been a member for more than two years and a CTP trainer in 4 distinct groups in the Latin America Certified Training Program (CTP). Moreover, she participated in the International Solidarity Forum and has recently participated in the Advocacy Academy.

 

Meet Marco!

Marco Gutiérrez studied Communications and Electronics Engineering and has taken courses in leadership, team management, crisis management, and international relations. Moreover, he has worked in business consulting companies where he has gained experience in project management and as a Project Manager. Marco currently works for an international consulting firm. In addition, he has volunteered in several youth groups to help people in the street, political participation, dissemination of art and culture, and defense of life and family.

Marco attended the International Conference on the Status of Women (CSW) at the United Nations, where he began to approach international organizations. Within WYA, he has been a CTP trainer in several Certified training Programs, participated in the recent edition of the International Solidarity Forum and the Advocacy Academy. His main hobbies are reading, swimming and diving, learning languages, and traveling.
