Between the 15th and 17th of November 2021, I had the pleasure of being part of the Portuguese delegation that participated in the 10th edition of the E.L.C. (Emerging Leaders Conference) in Brussels! It was good to return to the in-person projects after almost 2 years of seeing the other participants in little ZOOM squares.
The event was a success. The participants were interesting and interesting and it is always a fun experience to meet people from other countries and realities. The speakers were informed and kept us engaged throughout the days we spent in Brussels.
During the project we had the opportunity to visit the European Parliament, to speak with MEPs and to learn a little bit more about the workings of an organization as complex as the European Union. The workshops were fun and productive, especially the one where we got a closer look at how policy makers make decisions.
I thank WYA Europe and WYA Germany for the chance they gave me to participate in the event, because it was undoubtedly an enriching experience. I hope that in the future more participants will be as lucky as me!
