Dear WYA friends!

We have the pleasure to invite you to the next Ubuchindami* Movie Night that will take place this Wednesday 9th of February, 2011, at 19.30h, in Brussels (for the location please check the flyer)

The selected films portray broad elements of the truth and transcendental nature of the human person, and the ability and need for beauty in the world around us. Each film reflects an experience of humanity and inspires us to search for what it means to be human.

The film showing will be:

‘PERSEPOLIS’
Persepolis chronicles the life of Iranian native Marjane Satrapi during the period of the Islamic revolution. As her family adjusts to a new life under the new Iraq tyranny not allowing people to express themselves and gain knowledge, Marjane refuses to adjust and starts her own rebellion, upon which her parents send her abroad to study for a better life. Thereby Marjane begins to discover and search for her identity and roots, guidance and what gives meaning to life.

*(Ubuchindami means ‘dignity’ in Bemba, one of the 70 languages spoken in Zambia)
