Introducing a new Chapter is always good news for the World Youth Alliance, because it means that the struggle for the dignity defense strengthens day by day. All these actions contributes to a purpose that keeps getting more visible. Mariana Cardona Rodríguez was born in Colombia, and she is 19 years old. Mariana from a young age has lived in Bogotá, the capital of this country, an environment that has awakened her passion for history and philosophy, as well as an interest in social sciences, policies and public action. She loves reading, debating, writing and being in constant participation in events that mobilize people, awaken passions and gather dreams.
During her studies, she participated in different forums, debates, and social management activities that laid the foundations for her interest in the formulation of projects and public policies with an emphasis on the human person. Mariana has participated and led events such as the United Nations Simulations carried out at the national and district level, as well as participates in youth participation channels with government bodies such as the District Oversight.
This journey that began during her years at school has led Mariana to study Politics and International Relations at the Sergio Arboleda University where she has participated in seedbeds such as ONUSA and talks on national and international political issues. Currently, she is a certified member of the World Youth Alliance. Here, she found a place and a family that brings together her passions and allows her to make an impact on those around her, always promoting respect for human dignity and the protection of human rights.
We are excited about this new chapter and for all the accomplishments that World Youth Alliance members have obtained. It is important, through these actions, to share the defense of human dignity so that more people join this cause.
