February 8th, 2022 – WYA Latin America’s work continues to grow stronger than ever. The regional office continues to make a great impact, adding new members and creating new Chapters at the regional level. The WYALA office is honored to announce the launch of a new Chapter: Toledo Prudente Centro Universitário in Brazil. Let’s meet Gustavo Minzoni, its President.

Gustavo Minzoni – leader of the new Chapter Toledo Prudente Centro Universitário

Gustavo is currently a law student, and a classical musician. His passion for music always burned bright. By playing the double bass, piano and, by being with his choir friends at Jupyra Arts School he saw how music touches and warms the hearts of those who are open to it, arising feelings of kindness, compassion and determination. Just like that, he saw first-hand the value of Culture in one’s life. As culture served as the basis for his entry into Toledo, when he heard the lure of Human Rights it was all but natural for him to fall deep within it.

Through an intro session held by WYA in one of the study groups he participated in, specifically GEDAI-UFC, he knew it was the perfect fit for him and entered it without reservations, leading him to opening this lovely chapter that, with Toledo’s unconditional support he knew he had the perfect place.

For Gustavo, the things he loves the most are his family and friends, but also arts, and the transformative potential of International Cooperation. He doesn’t believe we can achieve the full potential of humanity without the protection of human rights in their integrity and he thinks International Law is the way to guarantee that.

WYA Latin America wishes the best to Gustavo Minzoni and to all the people collaborating in this new regional chapter. We are confident in their skills and commitment to comply with WYA’s regional objectives. If you are interested, contact us at latinamerica@wya.net.
