Meet the World Youth Alliance team in Lisbon!
We’re excited to announce that the World Youth Alliance is participating in the 2023 World Youth Day to be hosted in Lisbon, Portugal from August 1-6, 2023. The team will be speaking at an International Congress, hosting solidarity hang outs and inviting pilgrims to sign the Charter to protect human life in policy around the world. Ask us to talk to your group about how to protect life and promote human dignity!

(1) Meet us at the International Congress on the Care of Creation
WYA Executive Director Lord Leomer Pomperada speaking at the 4th International Congress on the Care of Creation with the theme “Young people’s commitment to integral ecology – Lifestyles for a new humanity.” The event will take place on 31 July 2023 at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Lisbon. The event is free and open to online participants. Sessions will have English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French translations. Click here to register.
(2) Invite us to give a WYA intro or leadership talk
Invite the WYA team to meet your youth group to conduct a free WYA intro session and leadership talk or to invite us to your event. Complete this online form to invite us.
(3) Join us in our Solidarity Hangout
We’ll be playing some music and doing group dances throughout the city in public places. Send us a message at europe@wya.net or join our WhatsApp group for live updates.
(4) Help us invite pilgrims to sign the WYA Charter
We have a target of welcoming 2,000 new WYA members at this year’s World Youth Day. Help us meet this goal by volunteering with us in inviting pilgrims to sign the Charter in the streets of Lisbon. We’ll be giving out WYA swag, including bracelets and pins! Come say hi!
